John L. Hicks, 83, beloved husband of Nancy J. Hicks, passed away December 29, 2021.
John was born in Crossnore, NC and honorably served in the US Army. He relocated to Greenville, SC in 1974 and retired from Roadway Express after 34 years of service in the transportation industry.
In addition to his wife Nancy, he leaves his son Brian Hicks and his wife Pamela; daughter Susan J. Whitmire and her husband Kenneth; brother C.W. Hicks and his wife Pansy; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son Johnny Hicks; brother Thomas Hicks; and sister Jenny Autrey.
Burial in Graceland East Memorial Park.
