Indian Township – Richard "Big Pun" Stevens, 39, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, December 31, 2021. Richard was born on November 11, 1982, son of Donald J. Socobasin and Judith A. Stevens.

Richard graduated from Lee Academy, Class of 2002, and attended Eastern Maine Community College. He loved gaming and hanging out with his friends. Richard will be remembered for his outgoing personality and always being the life of the party.

Richard was predeceased by his father Donald; maternal grandparents George and Pauline Stevens; and paternal grandparents Joseph Socobasin and Marjorie Norton. Surviving are his mother Judith Stevens of Indian Township; two sisters, Hope Dana and husband Ian of Pleasant Point, and Faith Sanders of Myrtle Beach, SC; a brother Randy Stevens of Indian Township; his niece Everly; four nephews, Blake, Logan, Jackson and Jonah; many aunts, uncles and cousins; close friends Lewey Harnois, Cecil Stanley and Irene DeWitt; and numerous other friends.

Visitation will be held at his home, 183 US Route 1, Indian Township beginning 12 noon Sunday, January 9, 2022 until 10 a.m. Monday, January 10. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday, January 10 at Immaculate Conception Church, Calais Ave, Calais. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
