David Alan Hart
February 3, 1962 ~ December 24, 2021 (age 59)

David Alan Hart, 59 of Gaylord, passed away at home on Friday, December 24, 2021.

Born in Bay City, Michigan, he was the son of Edward Hart and Joyce (Beeckman) Hart Clark.

A 1980 graduate of Johannesburg-Lewiston Schools, David went on to study auto repair at Alpena Community College. He was a longtime mechanic in northern Michigan, and for his family and friends, the guy to turn to for help with anything in need of repair.

He will be remembered as an all-around handyman who was quick to help those in need with auto repair, snowplowing and home repairs just to name a few. Having lost an arm in an accident at age 13, he could do with one arm what many could not do with two.

In his spare time he enjoyed playing pool at Paul's Pub where he was a team captain, listening to music, taking photos and enjoying a good laugh. In earlier years he enjoyed coaching his sons peewee football teams and in recent years he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. As a recovering alcoholic, he was chairman of the Gaylord Alano Club.

David is survived by his children, Nichole Burke of Johannesburg, Sean Hart of Boyne City, David Hart of Johannesburg and Samuel (Stephanie) Hart of Gaylord; grandchildren, Donovan, Lillian, Levi, Cole, Kaden, Sophia and Adelynn; his mother, Joyce Clark of Bay City; sisters, Sheryl (Charlie) Voisine of Rhodes, MI and Theresa (Kurt) VanSteenburg of Davison, MI; a brother, Daniel (Sallie) Hart of Mansfield, PA and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Hart; his step father, Terry Clark; and a sister, Susan Sanders.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service where visitation will begin at 12:00 noon. Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Gaylord Alano Club.

Arrangements are by Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
