She previously worked at the U.S. Census Bureau and then as a Special Needs Aide. Since 1987, she had been very involved with the Clark-Floyd Special Olympics.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death in by her husband of 50 years, Paul L. Wilson, and a brother, John Lawhorn.
Sheila is survived by her children, Reba Wright (Kory), Paula Sneed (Mike), and Laura McGorty (Michael); 6 grandchildren, Kody, Cheyenne, Jessica (Paul), Shaylan, Kaitlan, and Makala; 1 great grandchild, C.J.; brothers, Bill, Robert, and Sidney Lawhorn; sisters, Wanda Wheeler and Alice Alexander; and her Special Olympics family.
Visitation will be 2 pm ~ 8 pm Friday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany IN. Her Funeral Service will be 1 pm Saturday in the Kraft Spring Street Chapel with burial to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
