Graveside services will be held at 12 p.m. Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at Forrest Cemetery for John P. "Jack" Cooley, 87, of Gadsden, who died Thursday, Dec 30, 2021. Village Chapel Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
Jack was a beloved brother and uncle, and he was a wonderful man who cared deeply for all of his family. He was born in Pennsylvania. He was a veteran who served in the United States Army, and he worked as a machinist for many years.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Matthew and Marie Cooley; and sisters, Carol Jordan and Marie Lusk.
He is survived by his sister, Christine Allbrook; nieces, Jean Price (Johnny Jones) and Carol (Brent) Daugherty; nephew, Dutch Allbrook; and a host of extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Village Chapel.
