Carolyn McVay Hobbs, age 90, passed away on October 28, 2021, in Pensacola, Florida.

Carolyn was born June 12, 1931, in Sterling, Kansas.

Mrs. Hobbs was the co-founder of Santa Rosa Christian School, the Children's Bible Club radio ministry, and the Santa Rosa Christian Learning Center. She was an accomplished pianist, educator, Christian conference speaker, author, radio broadcaster, and child evangelist.

She touched the lives of so many children and Christian workers with her illustrated Christian stories (in over 10 languages), her encouraging handwritten letters and cards, and her stunning ability to make you feel appreciated. Her children's radio broadcasts reached round the world via the internet and shortwave radio.

She leaves behind a legacy of Christian humility, service, and genuine love that is unparalleled. She will be deeply missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Anna McVay; siblings, Mack McVay, Peter McVay, and Donna (McVay) Medlin; husband, Rev. R. Dayton Hobbs, whom she was married to from 1954-2006; and her granddaughter, Rachel Hobb
