Cat was raised in Columbus and graduated from East High School's night school program. She was employed with the City of Columbus Public Utilities Department as a Supervisor. On February 14, 1975, she married Ronald Alexander Blake. She was blessed with three children.
In 1980, Cathy and her family moved to California. She worked for the City of Los Angeles as a Clerk Typist until 1994. She and Ronald moved to the state of Delaware for a short period of time but they eventually made their way back to Columbus. Once settled in, Cathy was employed with Nationwide Insurance as a Secretary where she later retired. In her retirement, Cathy enjoyed what she always enjoyed most, spending time with her family, a pack of Kool's, Cherry Pepsi, cooking, playing cards with family and friends, a good steak and traveling.
Preceded in death by her parents, James and Lollie Booker; her brother, James Allen Booker Jr.; and her sister, Ida Mae Scott.
Cathy leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 46 years, Ronald A. Blake; her son, Corey (Tyra) Blake of Fontana, California, her daughter, Rhonda (James) Pittman of Columbus, Ohio, and her son, Ronald Craig Blake of Montgomery, Alabama; seven grandchildren, Xavier (Britney) Blake, Darian (Shaton) Blake, Marquise Pierre, Marvin Hodge, Vincent Blake, Lamarr Blake and Corynne Blake; five great grandchildren, Josiah, Lavender, Avah, Bria and Kairo; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
