Obituary for Robert "Bob" Emilio Martinez
Robert "Bob", "Bobby" Emilio Martinez entered eternal life to be with the Lord on November 18, 2021. He was born in Rouse, Colorado to the union of Emilio and Veronica (Aragon) Martinez, who precede him, also preceded in death by his son Robert Michael Martinez; granddaughter, Melissa DeHerrera; siblings, Fred, Lucy, Della, Delfinia, Tom, Esperanza, Manuel and their spouses. He leaves to cherish his memories, his daughters, Veronica (Martin) Gonzales and Yvonne (LeRoy) Martinez; grandchildren, Michael Gonzales, Stephanie (Eric) Ortiz, Christopher (Crystal) Chavez and Linda (Brandon) Hagans; great grandchildren, Desiree (Anthony) Ortiz, Dayton and Ariana Ortiz, Riley and Aden Chavez, Brandon Jr. and Ethan Hagans; great-great granddaughters, Gabriella and Jasmine Ortiz; brother, Narciso (Alva) Martinez; mother of his children, Mary Vail; and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family. Bob graduated from Huerfano High School, served 3 years of active duty in the United States Marine Corp and 5 years in the Marine Reserves. He retired from the Colorado State Hospital where he worked as a Psychiatric Technician. He enjoyed traveling and time spent with his family. We will miss his stories of herding goats, his travels and hearing him say "Love you and God bless you." We would like to thank the staff at Pueblo Regency Assisted Living for their love and care of our father. Rosary 1:30pm, Tuesday, with Mass of the Resurrection to follow at 2:00pm at St. Mary Help of Christians Church.
