BROWN, Monnell Smith (nee: Kidd), 71, of Lebanon, died Friday January 28, 2005. Born August 25, 1933 in Wolf County, KY to John and Bessie (nee: Cockerham) Kidd, she retired from the Country Kitchen in 1995 after 17 years as a manager. For many years she had been a member of the Church of Christ in Landsaw, KY. Preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers, Albert, Garrett, Mearle, Earl, Wenless, Glenn and Ray Kidd, and three sisters, Mabel, Mildred, and Marsha Kidd. Survivors include her husband, Carl Brown of Arizona, four sons, Richard W. Smith of Lebanon, Donald E. Smith of Clarksville, Benny W. Smith of Hampton, VA, Craig E. Smith of Clarksville, three daughters, Monna Jean Wainscott of Lebanon, Peggy Sue Allen of Clarksville and Nancy Marie Smith of Lebanon, two brothers, Ralph L. Kidd of West Liberty, KY and Johnny B. Kidd of Waynesville, three sisters, Maxine Jones of London, KY, Kay Seibert of Hamersville, OH, and Faye Henry of Lebanon, OH, and 16 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Visitation was Tuesday February 1, 2005 from 10 AM- 12 Noon with service immediately following, all at the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, Lebanon. Interment followed at the Blanchester IOOF Cemetery. Memorials requested to Hospice of Dayton. Arrangements by the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, Lebanon.
