DICKINSON, TEXAS — Margaret Susan Pope's sun set peacefully on Monday, December 27th at the age of 69 years old. Her beautiful smile and joyous laughter will be truly missed.

She leaves to cherish her memory three sons, Chauncey Pope, Jr. of Galveston TX, Micheal Pope (Olivia) of New Orleans, LA, and Joseph Byron Pope (Michelle) of Dickinson TX, 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Chauncey Pope, Sr.

Margaret was born on January 26, 1952 in Riverside CA to Dennise E. Torez and Roland D. Marruffo. In 1970 at 18 years old, she met and married her lifetime sweetheart, Chauncey Pope. She was a devoted wife and loving mother. In 2000, Magaret Pope founded Hope with the Popes, a non-profit organization dedicated to serving families in the Galveston community. Her work and legacy will continue on.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. followed by Homegoing service at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Wynn Funeral Home with a reception to follow.
