Helena Rempel born in June 1912, a second daughter, the third child for Jacob Rempel and his wife Margaretha "Margaret" (nee Fehr).Her parents then lived in the R.M. of Rhineland, MB where her parents were caretakers of a church near Blumenfeld, MB or Haskett, MB.
Helena is listed in the 1916 Canada Census (see image) as a five year old.
Apparently she got chilled, caught a cold, and died as a result. According to family comments it could even have been a flu or diphtheria.
Helena Rempel was laid to rest on her grandfather's farm near Morden, Manitoba.
