Former Resident Dies In Kansas City
Funeral of Miss Rebecca Ashworth To Be Held From Central Baptist Church on Saturday
Miss Rebecca Ashworth, virtually all her life a resident of this Immediate vicinity, passed away at eleven o'clock on Thursday morning at the home of her sister, Mrs. P. N. Kelly in Kansas City, Mo. Miss Ashworth had been in poor health for a number of years, but her last real illness may be said to have extended over only few months.

The body will reach this city at 11:35 o'clock on Saturday morning over the Big Four and be taken to the home of a brother, I A. Ashworth, 2521 Prairie avenue. There it will lie, until the hour of the funeral, 2:30 o'clock on Saturday afternoon to be conducted by Rev. J. M. Lively from the Central Baptist Church, Burial is to be in the cemetery at Cooks Mills.

Miss Ashworth was born in Mercer County, Virginia. When a child she came to Coles with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Ashworth, and with the exception of extended visits with her sister in Kansas City, had made the immediate vicinity of Mattoon her home ever since. She went to Kansas City about a year ago.

Surviving are three brothers, L. A. Ashworth and M. S. Ashworth of Mattoon, and M. A. Ashworth of Sullivan, and two sisters, Mrs. P. N. Kelly and Mrs. Katharine Warner of Kansas City, Mo.
