Bruce E. Cline, age 80, formerly of Troy died Tuesday, November 21, 2000 at his residence in Tipp City, Ohio. Mr. Cline was born March 19, 1920 in Bath County, Kentucky to the late, M.H. and Ruth Ann Thornburg Cline. Mr. Cline was married July 27, 1940 to Henry Etta (Saunders) who survives him. He is also survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Diane Cline of Troy and daughter and son-in-law, Marsha and Steve Merritt of Troy; sister, June Emmons of Troy and brother, Marion Cline of Beavercreek; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mr. Cline was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Troy; a WWII US Army Veteran and a member of the 125th Anti-aircraft Battalion group and the Troy VFW Post #5436 and a former member of the Troy Planning Commission. Mr. Cline retired in 1983 after 43 years of service with St. Regis Co., Troy.

Services will be held 10:30AM Sat., Nov. 25,2000 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy with Rev. Ronald Payne and Rev. Ed Ellis officiating. Interment in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8PM on Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County, PO Box 502, Troy, Ohio 45373.
