John Orville Booker, Jr. age 67, of Detroit, passed away, Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at his residence. He was born, February 13, 1954, in Clarksville to John Orville and Elizabeth "Polly" Hughes Booker.

His parents; and two brothers, Freddy Booker and Bill "Buddy" Booker all preceded him in death.

John was a graduate of Clarksville High School. He was employed by Paris Packaging Company and later was Plant Manager for Integrity Packaging Solutions. John was very active in his community. He served as President of Baseball Incorporated and volunteered over 26 years on the Clarksville Volunteer Fire Department, serving as Captain. He was well respected by his fellow fireman and loved helping his community through the fire department. It was said, "John was one of the first there and the last to leave". John loved his boys and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Later he took up golfing and was a member of the Wednesday night's 19th Hole Men's golf group.

Survivors are his sons, Justin Booker and wife, Renea of Texarkana and Nick Booker and wife, Elizabeth of Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri; and five grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon, January 2, 2021, from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm. Private burial will be in White Rock Cemetery.
