Wednesday morning Mrs. G. H. Grover quietly passed away after a lingering illness of several months duration at the home of her daughter, Mrs. D. M. Thomas. The funeral will take place this afternoon at two o'clock at the residence, conducted by Rev. F. C. Witzigman of the Methodist Church, burial taking place in Union Cemetery, where her husband was buried seven years ago.
Mrs. Grover was born on June 11, 1839, at Westmoreland, Pennsylvania, and has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. D. M. Thomas, the past few years. On March 25, 1857, she was united in marriage to G. H. Grover, and to this union eight children were born, as follows: Mrs. Angle Reed, Charles Grover, William Grover, and Robert Grover, all of Cedar Falls; George Grover of Staples, Minnesota; Mrs. M. E. Hickak of Dos Palos, California, and Mrs. D. M. Thomas of Iowa Falls. All are living with the exception of Robert Grover, who passed away two years ago.
She has been a devout Christian all her life and a member of the Methodist church. She was loved by all who knew her.
