Hazel (Hager) Smith, 82 of Verdunville, WV, departed this life on December 30, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
She was born October 25, 1939, in Lincoln County, WV the daughter of the late Albert & Opal Hager.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four children, Maxine Smith, Wandell Smith Jr, Carlene Smith and Arlene Ward, three brothers, Freddie Hager, Everett Hager and Homer Hager, one sister, Pansee Hager and her grandparents, William and Lula Mae Sperry.
Hazel was a homemaker and loved her family unconditionally. She was a member of the Hedgeview Christian Baptist Church for many years. Hazel was of the Christian faith and an avid church goer. She loved flowers, gardening, spending time with her family and cooking large dinner for her family to enjoy.

Those left to cherish her memory include three daughters, one son, six sisters, one brother, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and her dog Miney.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00pm, Monday, January 3, 2022, at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Pecks Mill, WV
