We are celebrating the life of Jody Clark Young who died January 13, 2000 of Cardio Myopathy and end-stage renal disease as a result of Lupus.
Jody was born September 24, 1952 in Whittier, California to George C. and Marietta E. Clark. She married Bruce W. Young in the Salt Lake Temple on November 22, 1974 and was blessed with four wonderful children: son Brody (Wendy) and daughters Heather, Katie and Jamie. Jody was very talented in art and music. She loved children and will be missed greatly by her many neighborhood "little people" who blessed her life daily.She attended elementary and secondary schools in California and furthered her education by attending Dixie College and Brigham Young University. While at Dixie College, she had the opportunity to perform the lead role in the production of "Hello Dolly" and was also involved in many organizations, including the Program Bureau.
Jody taught all who knew her the meaning of faith and courage during her 17 year battle with the effects of Lupus. She was a life long devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served faithfully in many Church positions in the Primary, Young Women's, Relief Society, and was a faithful temple worker.
She is survived by her husband; children; parents; brothers, David (Susan), Roy (Pamela); sisters, Georganne (Mark) Cuthbert, Robin (Greg) Molis, Heidi (Lance) Bingham.
A viewing will be held between 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Saturday January 15, 2000 at the Edgemont 2nd Ward Chapel, 555 East 3230 North, Provo. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the same location. Interment services will be at Lakeview Cemetery, 1640 East Lakeview Drive (600 S) Bountiful, Utah.
A viewing will be held between 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Saturday January 15, 2000 at the Edgemont 2nd Ward Chapel, 555 East 3230 North, Provo. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the same location. Interment services will be at Lakeview Cemetery, 1640 East Lakeview Drive (600 S) Bountiful, Utah.
