Funeral service for Dennis Stephenson, 56, will be Saturday, January 1, 2022 at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Joe Nuss and Brother Mike Eaton officiating.
Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, January 1, 2022 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Stephenson died Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born January 27, 1965, in Wayne County, Michigan, to Joseph Carl Stephenson and Velia Mae Prater Stephenson.
He was employed by Nucor Tubular Products, as a slitter operator, prior to his passing. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Hartselle. He loved his family and children, playing ball and other sports. He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his wife, Lynne Stephenson, Hartselle; his mother, Velia Mae Prater Stephenson, Falkville, a son, Eric Stephenson, Hartselle; two brothers, Kenny Stephenson and George Stephenson, both of Falkville; three sisters, Sue Kimbril (Jerry) of Vinemont, Gloria Hogan (Danny) of Falkville and Wendy Sinyard (Bryan) of Crane Hill.
Pallbearers will be Mike Lott, Stephen Hogan, Darrell Avans, Tim Moore, Cade Grimes and Michael Staten.
Honorary pallbearers will be Blaine Sinyard and Marty Prater.
