Charlie Harvey Smith, 73 of Brevard, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on December 26th, 2021. He was born July 15th, 1948 in Brevard, N.C. to the late Harvey Smith & Ethel Holden Smith. He worked many years for Public Service Gas Co. of Brevard. Charlie never met a stranger and always helped those in need. He was an angel among us and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include wife, Martha (Mock) Smith of 36 years, brother, Harvey Virgil Smith Jr. of Easley, S.C., son, C.J. Smith and wife Michell of See Off, stepson, Brian Owens and wife Carla of Etowah, stepdaughter, Shannon Arnold and husband John of Pisgah Forest, four grandchildren: Colton Owens, B.J. Owens, Cody Owens, and Siarrah Lekan, three great-granddaughters: Mayson Kate Owens, Kyndal Owens, Evahlyn Lekan, and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be Saturday, January 8th at Open Arms Tabernacle in Brevard at 1 P.M.
