Christopher Charles Dunn, of Durham, died unexpectedly at home on Thursday February 25th.

He was born in Davenport, Iowa on March 4, 1977. Chris graduated from Moline High School in Moline, Illinois then went on to Johnson and Wales Culinary Institute in Providence, Rhode Island, where he graduated with a culinary degree.

Chris worked in the culinary industry, insurance industry and later in the the automotive industry. He was a car enthusiast, loved to cook for people, a Chicago Cubs fan, avid fisherman and was always at peace on a lake.

Chris is survived by his wife Ashley, stepson Ethan, and daughter Olivia. He is also survived by his mother Kaye Garbett and stepfather Ray Garbett, stepmother Sally Dunn, brother Chad Dunn, sister Emily Dunn and stepbrothers John Garbett and Jim Garbett. He is also survived by his loyal and loving furry feline companions, Thelma and Louise.

Chris is preceded in death by his father, Walt Dunn, grandparents Frank and Shirley Dunn and grandmother Leota Ackerman.

His sense of humor will be missed by everyone who knew him.

A memorial service will be held at Wake Memorial Park in the Mausoleum Chapel on Friday, March 5, 2021 at 11am.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donation be made in Chris name to the Juvenile Diabetes's Research Foundation.
