He was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Shannon Smith. Surviving are his wife, Michelle ( Charette) Smith; son, Eugene T Smith, Jr. and his wife, Christine of Westport; daughter, Hope Vary and her husband, Phillip of Wareham; grandchildren, Brandon, Sarah and her fiancé, Jordan, Rebecca, Matthew, Julius, Ava, Elias and Makenna; great granddaughter, Halle; and sister, Annie Nye and her husband, Harry of Marion.
