Cecil David Coleman, 71, passed away Friday, December 24, 2021, at Scotland Regional Hospice in Laurinburg, NC.

Born September 9, 1950, in McColl, SC, he was a son of the late Edward Walter and Carrie Hudson Coleman. He received a business degree from Northeastern Technical College. Mr. Cecil was a retired warehouse manager with Covington Fabrics with 35 + years. He attended Eastside Baptist Church in McColl and was the owner of CC's Deals. He served on the McColl City Council and was instrumental in starting the "Christmas in June", "McColl Cruise In", and "May Fest". He also volunteered at the McColl Museum.

Mr. Cecil enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening and dearly loved his family and friends.

His famous quote was "It's a wonderful day and I love my job".

He is survived by his wife, Carol Ransom Coleman; daughters, Shannon Coleman of Rockingham, NC and Cheryl Jones (Brian) of Laurinburg, NC; brother, James Coleman (Gail) of McColl; grandchildren, Christin Trickett (Brian) of Indian Land, Cody David Jones (Brittany) of Laurinburg and Matthew Bryan Jones of Laurinburg; great grandchildren, Kendall Chavis and Dansby Chavis; sister in law Alice Jackson of Aiken; niece, Wanda Bush of Aiken; nephew, Jim Coleman of Dayton, OH; 2 great nieces and 3 great nephews.

Mr. Cecil was preceded in death by his parents; son, Cecil David "Davie" Coleman, Jr.; granddaughter, Kelsey Miranda Powell; brothers, Willie P. Jackson and Edwin "Bugs' Jackson.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 31, 2021, at Eastside Baptist Church, with burial to follow in Rogers Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Rogers Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
