James Robert (Bubba) Daniels 69 of Peoria, AZ died peacefully after a lengthy illness on Dec 11th with his family by his side.

Bubba was born March 19th, 1952 to Merlin (Jack) & Wanda Daniels in Burlington Iowa.

Bubba was very active in all high school sports especially football. After graduating from high school in 1970, Bubba and his family moved to Az where he went on to play Football for Mesa Community college until his playing career was sidelined due to injuries.

In 1985, Bubba married the love of his life and his best friend, Glenda. They were married for 36 years. The two of them enjoyed road trips, from short trips around Arizona to trips covering multiple states. Stops always included their favorite destination, Williams AZ and Durango CO.

Bubba's son Jim Daniels Jr was his pride and joy, along with his granddaughter Natalie who he was so proud of. They never failed to put a huge smile on his face. They made countless memories together like ASU Tailgating, Grilling, playing golf and watching all sports together.

Bubba and his sister Suz also shared a love for Sunday Football. They would spend Sundays during football season texting one another, often speaking their own sibling language that only the two of them could ever understand.

Bubba's love for restoring cars and golf carts, silhouette shooting and NASCAR was a great passion of his. He had a knack for being able to "fix" anything and always willing to lend a hand, especially to the neighborhood kids.

He worked for Arizona Public Service or as he called it "Az Pick N Shovel" for 28 years as a surveyor and underground Inspector. Over the years with APS Bubba formed many lifelong friendships. Bubba loved talking with people and making friends no matter where he would go. If you were ever fortunate enough to meet him, it would be as if you had known him your whole life.

Bubba had a great love for Jesus and during his final journey he found a deep passion for making crosses that he spent countless hours on. Bubba would proudly share the beautiful crosses he made with the hope that the crosses would positively impact those he passed his crosses on to.

Bubba is survived by wife Glenda, Son Jim (Lilly), Granddaughter Natalie, sister Suz Stevens of Iowa Niece & Nephew Joni (George) Cunnigham, Great Niece, Taylor, Great Nephew, Sean of California, Niece Dana Capaldi of Texas, Great Nephews Daniel, Austin, and Christian and Great Niece Sadie.
