Billie Doris Caskey Chapman, 84, of Charlotte, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021. She was born in Gaston County to the late James Chalmers Caskey and Dorcas Maybelle Pryor Caskey Benfield.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Lynn Chapman; as well as her brother, Troy Lee Pryor, and her sister, Shirley Bennett.

She was a long-time member of Moores Chapel United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and lead the Young at Heart Group. Other than loving her children and grandchildren more than life itself, she loved to whistle.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Jo Marie Cleveland and her husband Mark, Angela Martin and her husband Tommy, Lynn Revels and her husband Wayne, and Roseann Elliott and her husband Charlie; twelve grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and one great-great grandson; as well as her sister, Judy Benfield, and brother, Barry Benfield.

A service to celebrate Billie's life will be held Monday, January 3, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Moores Chapel United Methodist Church, 10601 Moores Chapel Road, Charlotte, NC 28214. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church. Arrangements are in the care of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly.
