Eli Williams Jr. was born on September 5, 1944 to the late Elie Williams Sr. and Myrtle Brown Williams in Hope Hull, Alabama.

Eli accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized under the late Pastor John Billingsley of New Morning Star Baptist Church, which is now the Tower Christian Church under Pastor Stephen Washington, which he served faithfully, until his health began to fail him.

Eli attended Sherman Heights Elementary and was a graduate of Westfield High School. Eli also served in the United States Army until 1967. Eli was employed by Certain Teed for 37 years.

Eli married the love of his life, Linda Davenport on December 19, 1971. To this union two children were born Anthony Williams and Eli Orlando Williams(deceased). In 2010, Eli and Linda adopted Kayleb Johnson.

Eli was preceded in death by his father Elie Williams Sr, his mother Myrtle Williams his son Eli Orlando Williams, his siblings Addie Jean, Nathaniel Williams Sr., Earnestine Skinner, and Larry Williams, and his nephew Nathaniel Williams.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories, a loving and devoted wife, Linda Williams; two sons Anthony (Angela) Williams and Kayleb Johnson (adopted grandson); sister, Ruby Lee Williams; brother, Bruce (Billie) Williams Sr.; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sister-in-law's, Sandra Williams and Carolyn Williams; one brother-in-law, Orman Skinner; two uncles, Mose (Hester) Williams of Hope Hull, AL and James (Janie) Cobb of Gary, Indiana; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
