He was born, a triplet, in North Lawrence, OH, on January 2, 1939 to Gabriel and Ada (Eberly) Heatwole. In his youth he accepted Christ as his Saviour and was a faithful member of the Valley View Mennonite Church.
On July 17, 1960 he married Edith Shaum, who survives. They shared 61 years together. He is survived by 6 daughters and oneson One brother, 53 grandchildren, and 37 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 2 infant triplet brothers, Elvin and Melvin, two brothers, Paul and Clarence, 2 sisters, Mary and Bertha; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
