Pauline Parks

Pauline Parks was a loving, caring, energetic mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a friend to everyone. Pauline passed away on December 24, 2021, just short of her 97th birthday.

Mary "Polly" Parks was born in Richards, Missouri on April 11, 1925, to Ray and Mae Taylor. She lived on a farm until the age of 10 when the family moved to Oregon in 1935. She graduated from Eugene High School in 1943.

During her sophomore year in Eugene High School, she met the love of her life, Keith Parks. They were engaged on her 18th birthday and were married on April 7, 1946. Following graduation she worked as a medical transcriptionist at Sacred Heart Hospital, Orthopedic and Fracture Clinic, and retired from the Fairfield Medical Clinic in 1992.

She was a member of the Sacred Heart Hospital Guild, Beta Sigma Phi (61 years), and the SongBrook Sassy seniors Red Hat group. Her hobbies included gardening, scrapbooking, using her computer, and genealogy.

In August 2012, she moved to Hillsboro, Oregon, to be closer to her son and his family, and recently moved to Lone Tree, Colorado, to be near her daughter and her family.

Pauline is survived by a daughter Diana Glenn (Warren) and a son Dennis Parks; grandchildren Bryan Glenn (Robin), Marinda Schweitzer (Kirk), Jordan Parks, Michelle West (Don), Jared Deane (Danielle), and Caleb Deane; Great-Grandsons Jack Glenn, Wesley Deane, Finn Schweitzer, and Leo West; and Great-Granddaughters Finley Glenn, Cora Deane, Ava Deane, and Lucy Schweitzer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, grandson Timothy Glenn, and brothers Ottis Taylor and Frank Taylor.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Allison Park Christian Church Memorial Fund, 1520 Echo Hollow Road, Eugene, OR 97402 or a charity of your choice. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 4, at 10:00 am at Allison Park Christian Church.
