Florene Bishop, 85, of Covington, died Dec. 21, 2007, at the St. Elizabeth Hospice Center in Edgewood.
Funeral services were held Dec. 24, 2007, with Bro. Donald Browning presiding. Burial was in Owenton Cemetery.

Florene Bishop, 85, of Covington, died Friday December 21, 2007 at the St. Elizabeth Hospice Center in Edgewood.
Born March 22, 1922, in Grant County, she was the daughter of the late Curtis and Glada Holder Jackson and was preceded in death by her brother, Bud Jackson. Florene was a retired seamstress for Serta Mattress and a member of Beechgrove Baptist Church. She also loved to fish and camp.
Mrs. Bishop is survived by her husband James Bishop of Covington; five sons, Stan McCoy of Hemet, CA, Francis "Punk" Bishop of New Liberty, Donald "Billy" Bishop of Ft. Mitchell, David Bishop of Warsaw and Rick Bishop of Covington; one daughter, Betty Fisk of Independence; one brother, James William Jackson of New Liberty; two sisters, Margaret Cammack Bishop and Norma Merriss of New Liberty; fourteen grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by McDonald and New Funeral Homes where a family will receive friends at the Main Street location, Monday, December 24, 2007 from 11am to 1pm. Funeral services will follow at 1 pm with Bro. Donald Browning presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery.
