On Monday, December 27, 2021 Michael "Mo" Lawrence Mohler, age 61, lost a 5 week battle with Covid. Mo passed away at ProMedica Toledo Hospital surrounded with love alongside his family. Mo was born on November 7, 1960 in Toledo, OH the son of Lawrence Mohler and Margaret (Gintzer) Miller. He married the love of his life (Ronda Livingston) on May 3, 1986 in Morenci, MI and she survives. Mo was a hard worker and dedicated many years of his life working for Consumers Energy. He also proudly served 6 years in the Ohio National Guard.
In addition to his wife and mother, Mo is survived by his children, Jennifer (Brandon) Carpenter of Adrian, Emily (Hunter) Fenby of Novi, Collin Mohler (Brienna Scott) of Perrysburg, OH and Taylor Mohler (Joel Hess) of Onsted; two grandsons, Owen and Isaac Carpenter; four sisters, Pam (Phil) Burgard, Lisa (Randy) Drager, Mary (Jason) Baumeister and Dawn (Jim) Montri; two step-siblings Terry (Carol) Miller and Lori Miller, his step-father Charles Miller and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. His father, Lawrence, and his grandparents, Arden & Erma Mohler and Harry & Viola Gintzer, preceded him in death.
Everyone who knew Mo loved him and he will be missed dearly. His bright spirit, kind heart and radiant smile will serve as cherished memories to those who cared about him. He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan and loved NASCAR. Some of his favorite hobbies included camping, volunteering for 4-H, going to Lake Michigan, playing with all the children who came through his home in daycare and spending time with his grandsons. Mo was one of the happiest people you would have ever met and always saw the best in every situation. Even through his battle with cancer he never lost hope and remained the cheerful man everyone around him knew and loved.
The world truly is a sadder place after losing such a beautiful soul. While the pain of no longer having him with us is excruciating, Mo would never want people to be upset. He would do everything in his power to ensure that those around him were happy and would ask that people not cry for him, but that everyone remembers the good times and cherish those they hold dear. We ask that you join in celebrating his life and keeping his memory alive. Visitation for Mo will be held on January 2, 2022 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and again from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home in Adrian, MI. Funeral services will be held on January 3, 2022 at 11:00am at the same location. Burial will be held in Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci, MI immediately following.
