William Perry, Sr., 96, of East Stroudsburg, died Tuesday morning, December 28, 2021, at Clover Rest Home in Columbia, NJ. He was the husband of the late Ethel (Booth) Perry who died January 23, 2000.

A lifetime resident of Monroe County, he was born on March 23, 1925 in East Stroudsburg and was the last of twelve children to the late James and Susan (Roselle) Perry.

He was a World War II veteran having served in the United States Army from 1944 to 1945.

In earlier years he worked in pipelining and at Rock Tenn Paper Mill and then for over forty years was a self-employed excavator.

Bill was a member of the George N. Kemp Post #346 American Legion in East Stroudsburg and he loved the outdoors, gardening and hunting.

Surviving are two grandchildren, Jason Possinger and wife Kimberly and Marae Goldberg and husband David; three great-grandchildren, Zachary Possinger, Noah Possinger and Joelle Jacobi; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his two children, William Perry, Jr. and Rose "Pug" Possinger.

Services will be held on Monday, January 3, from the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg with viewing beginning at 10:00AM followed by the funeral service at 11:00AM with Pastor Philip Karasiewaicz officiating. Burial will follow at Sand Hill Cemetery.
