KELLEY, William Smith, Jr. was called home by his Heavenly Father on December 26th 2021 at Norton Audubon Hospital.
Smith was born in Floyd County Kentucky, October 25th 1939 to his late mother Ruby Alice Stratton. After graduating from Betsy Layne high school he married his darling wife Barbara Sue Hagans and went on to proudly serve in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

After completing his service, he became an upgrader for Ford Motor Company, retiring after 27 years.

Smith enjoyed fishing, traveling, gardening, basketball, going to church, he was an expert checker player, was an avid UK fan, he loved telling jokes and cherished the time he spent with his family and grand-pups Teddy-O and Fred. Smith was the best husband and dad and was known for his kindness and outgoing personality. To know him was to love him!

He was preceded in death by his father William Smith Kelley, mother Ruby Alice Stratton, son Timothy Wayne Kelley, brother Ray Calvin Webb.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Barbara Sue Kelley of 61 years, daughters, Kimberley Ranee Kelley- Chaffee, and Paula Dawn Bewley; grandchildren, Zachary, Jessica, Keirsten, Christian, Jacob, Jonah and Hannah.
Visitation will be held Sunday, January 2nd, 11:00am-8:00pm at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, Louisville KY, 40216. Services will be held Monday January 3rd, 1:00pm at Cloverleaf Baptist Church, 4401 Manslick Rd, Louisville KY, 40216. A brief visitation will be held from 11:00am until time of service at the church. Burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West to follow.
