"Shirley R. Yowell Mansfield, 62, died Oct. 12, at her daughter's home in Parkville, Mo.
Her family moved to Manhattan shortly after her birth, where she spent all of her school years. She lived in the Kansas City for more than 35 years.
Survivors include her mother, Esther Hansing of Manhattan; two daughters, Jeannie Terrell of Kansas City and Terri Moore of Parkville; a brother, John Yowell of Overland Park; an aunt, Bernice Wolf of Manhattan; and two granddaughters.
