Patricia Ann "Patsy" Nutt, 89, of Hampton, passed away on December 28, 2021 in her home.

She was born on August 1, 1932 in Calhoun County, Arkansas.

Patsy's first job was an inspector at Shumaker Naval Ammunition Depot in East Camden. She later worked for 18 years at Hampton Public School ending her career there as librarian. But first and foremost she was a wife and mother. She loved caring for her family and giving them all of the love she could. She loved gardening, canning her own vegetables and in later years she enjoyed talking on the phone with her family and friends.

She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Hampton where she was always very active teaching Sunday school, singing in the choir and helping where she could to serve others. All thru her life her faith was strong and her dedication to the Lord was steadfast.

Patsy was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Vernon Ray Nutt; and her parents, William Bruce Reddin and Sallie Lou Gardner-Reddin.

She is survived by one son, Brian Nutt (Lynn) of Hampton; two daughters, Iwana Castleberry (Randy) of Harmony Grove and Angie Ables (Randy) of Hampton; five grandchildren: Cody Ables of Hampton, Wesley Ables of El Dorado, Ryan Castleberry of Alma, Jesse Castleberry of Camden, and Sam Nutt of El Dorado; six great grandchildren: Della Ables of Hampton, Cy Ables of Hampton, Jenna Ables of Hampton, Tyson Castleberry of Alma, Taylor Castleberry of Alma, and Emma Castleberry of Camden; and one sister, Donna Sue Barbee of Alexander.

The funeral services will be held in First Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Nutt and Rev. Keith Nutt officiating. The burial services will be held at Camp Ground Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Jesse Castleberry, Ryan Castleberry, Tyson Castleberry, Cody Ables, Wesley Ables, Cy Ables, Sam Nutt, and Paxton Strong.
