Billie Fischer Johnson, 73, a resident of Scriba passed away on December 21, 2021, at the Oswego Hospital.

Born in Oswego, She was a daughter of the late William and Anna (Buskey) Fischer. She was a graduate of the Oswego High Schoo, Class of 1966, and the Cosmetology School in Syracuse.

She was employed as a waitress at several restaurants in Oswego including the Oswego Speedway and Howard Johnson's. She owned and operated Billies Beauty Shop out of her home in Scriba. She was later employed with the Mental Health Division at the Oswego Hospital.

Billie served as Sergeant of Arms for the VFW Auxiliary in Scriba and was a member of Community Alliance Church in New Haven
She was also very involved at SAFE (battered women) as well as Farnham.
She enjoyed doing the annual muscle walk for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
She enjoyed sewing, painting, and playing board games, especially Scrabble. She also enjoyed talking to family and friends. She especially loved going out to eat with family and friends.

Surviving are her two daughters, Tammy(Mike) Brooks of Point, Texas, Stacey Johnson (John Coleman) of North Bay, New York, one sister Kalene Fischer (Al McCarty) of Scriba, NY, grandchildren, Dominique Ann Alvarado of San Antonio, Texas, Spencer Coleman, Sydney Coleman, Samuel Coleman all of North Bay NY, nephew William Fischer of Scriba, niece Samantha (Jeremy) Lewis of Minetto. a special friend Dick Braden of Phoenix NY as well as great-nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother Frank Fischer in March 1995, sister, Jaqueline Fischer in 2019, niece Anna Fischer in February 1995, and great Niece Angel Rose Lewis in 2006.

In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
There will be no calling hours. However, there will be a celebration of Billie's life to be determined at a later date at the convenience of the family.
