ROCK HILL - Mr. Tony Barr Jr., 61, of 216 W. Moore St. died Monday, June 14, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center. The funeral will be 3 p.m. Friday at Mount Hebron Baptist Church, with the Rev. L.L. Robertson officiating and the Rev. Lovenia Pride assisting. Burial will be at the church cemetery. A native of York County, Mr. Barr was a son of the late Tony Barr Sr. and Essie Talford Barr. He was educated in the public schools of York County and graduated from Clinton Junior College. He was a member of Mount Hebron Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict. Mr. Barr was a self-employed carpenter. Surviving are his son, Robert Gaines of Charlotte; two daughters, Yvone Barr of Rock Hill and Daffeney B. Boseman of McConnells; two brothers, John Talford of Rock Hill and John Barr of Charlotte; and six grandchildren. The body may be viewed from 6 to 8 tonight at Macon Funeral Home. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Friday.
