PHILLIPS, Cynthia Kathryn died after a long illness Dec. 23, 2021, in Key West, Florida. She was born July 10, 1961 in South Bend, Indiana to John B. and Sandra Phillips. She grew up in Tampa after her family moved from Indiana in 1973. "Cindy" graduated from Jefferson High School and Tampa Technical Institute studying commercial art. She was a talented artist who owned her own business, Eyecatcher Display and Signage for 17 years in Key West. Her artwork and signs can be seen all over the Florida Keys. In 2014, she married Daniel Szewczyk in Reno, Nevada. She was preceded in death by her father, John B. Phillips; and grandparents, Ralph W. and Kathryn Troyer and Hugh and Anne Phillips. Survivors include her husband; mother; sister, Katha Phillips of Ocala FL; brother, John B. Phillips II and Joanne of Bellingham, WA; and niece, Krista Anne Hagood of Ft. Myers FL. A private service and interment was held December 30, 2021 at Curlew Hills Memory Garden, Palm Harbor, FL.
