Oscar W. Campbell, 79 years old, passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at his home in Newport. He was born August 8, 1942 to the late S. Roy and Annie (Reeder) Campbell.
He was a retired dairy farmer and member of the Perry County Conservation District Board for 29 years, where he recently retired as Chairman, and Perry County Farm Bureau. He was a former member of the Perry County Extension Board, local board of Sire Power, Newport School Board, served as a Juniata Township Supervisor and was a volunteer with the Perry County Fair in the antique tractor Department. He received the 1996 Master Farmer Award, the Dairy of Distinction Award and Soil Conservation Award.
He enjoyed wood working. His greatest joy was spending time with his granddaughters.
Oscar is survived by his wife Winifred (Delancey) Campbell; daughterJaclyn Matter and husband Matthew of Millerstown; granddaughters Bethany and Rachel Matter; and sister Mary Ann Smee of Newport.
Per Oscar's wishes, there will be no services.
