Marian was born on Feb. 18, 1930, to Otto and Adele Doehring in Newberg, Oregon.
She attended school in Newberg, and then went onto business college.
In 1952, Marian married Gordon Burns. They had three children, Barbara, Steve, and Jim.
She retired from working in the CSD for the State of Oregon.
Marian and Gordon were very involved with the Southern Oregon Horse Racing Association. Their two sons were the jockeys known as "Burns Brothers".
She was involved in many organizations in the community and was also a member of United Methodist Church, in Grants Pass.
Marian is survived by her sister, Mildred Riley; daughter, Barbara Forth, and son Jim Burns; four grandchildren, Ryan, Scott, Jenny and Justin; and six great grandchildren, Jordan, Grayson, Jaci, Jordann, Blake and Kylee.
Preceded in death by her husband Gordon Burns and son Steve Burns. Service pending.
