POUND, VA – Angela Bowman, 59, crossed peacefully into eternity Monday December 27, 2021 from Norton Community Hospital. Her loving family was by her side.
Angie was a Christian of the Baptist faith. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Angie loved to play Bingo on her phone, watching Dog the Bounty Hunter and My 600lb Life on TV. But her greatest joy was the time she spent with her family.
Angie was preceded in death by her parents Reverend Emmitt and Janet Mullins; a sister Jennifer Mullins; and a brother Charles Mullins.
Survivors include her loving husband and best friend of 34 1/2 years Rickie Bowman; daughters, Stacy Pennington (Nick) and Suzanne Adkins both of Pound, VA grandchildren, Korey Adkins, Ashley Adkins,
Alexis Pennington, Lauren Pennington and Hannah Pennington; sisters, Robin Short ( Kelly) -Pound, VA, Donna Mullins (Trent)-Pound, VA, Stephany Mathias (David)- Pound, VA and Tammy Strange (Tim) –
Wise, VA; special friend, Cheryl Skeens; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of friends and loved ones.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 pm Thursday December 30, 2021 in the Baker Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Danny Mullins and Reverend Randy Carter officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until time of services.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 am Friday December 31, 2021 at the Rufus Mullins Cemetery in Woodrow Hollow-Pound, VA where Danny Adkins, Nick Pennington, Shane Adams, Tim Strange David Mathias and Kelly Short will serve as pallbearers. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:00 am to prepare to go in procession to the cemetery.
