She is preceded in death by her husband Jim; a son Barry Clark Todd; her parents; her siblings Billie Clark, Carl Clark, Velma Williams, Vera Kelber, and Pete Rollen Clark.
Mary is survived by a son Terry Todd of Springdale; a granddaughter Jamie Dawn Thompson of Springdale; two great-grandchildren Stone William Thompson and Ridglee Dawn Thompson of Springdale. She is also survived by a nephew Ronnie Williams of Summerville, SC; nieces Cheri Coley of Fayetteville, Janice Kelber of San Mateo, CA, Judy Peterson of Sebastopol, CA, Joan Johnson of Rogers, Wilma Patrick of Springdale, Hazel Sanders of Springfield, MO, and Jimmie Whorton of Springdale; and many cousins and friends.
Mary attended the Durham School for the beginnings of her education and later attended the Elkins School and then Peabody School in Fayetteville.
Mary and Jimmy delivered the Northwest Arkansas Times newspaper in the Elkins area for 52 years. She always tried to send cards or a gift for the events of the families she delivered newspapers to. All of the kids knew how to roll, rubber band, bag, and throw a newspaper.
There was nothing Mary could not do. She sewed, knitted, crocheted, gardened, and cooked the best foods. Her fried chicken, strawberry shortcake, German chocolate cake and pie crust were favorites with the family. Mary loved taking care of her family and her home. Jim and Mary traveled to many places in the United States and Europe during their marriage.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, December 31, 2021 in the chapel at McCord Cemetery. Interment will follow in McCord Cemetery under the direction of Beard's Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Willard Walker Hospice Home or McCord Cemetery.
There is no scheduled visitation.
