On December 24, 2021, at 1:05 in the morning, Heaven gained one of the best mechanics, farmers, and God-fearing people to walk the earth. James Coleman Hicks, Jr better known to his family as Jimmy, Daddy, or PawPaw, lost his battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Jimmy was born on June 25, 1950 in Henderson, KY to the late James C. Hicks, Sr and Phyllis J. Duncan Hicks.

Although he may have lost his battle on earth, we rejoice in the fact that Daddy knew Jesus Christ and now has a new body that functions perfectly in Heaven.Jimmy was best known for his ability to raise a good crop of corn, soybeans, tobacco, etc. He taught his two boys the true definition of hard work, honesty and duty to family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Phyllis Raley Hicks; two sons, J.C. Hicks (Amber) of Henderson, Cory Hicks (Trisha) of Paducah, Ky; three sisters, Nancy Richardson (Al) of Henderson, Gloria Jean Lemmons of Henderson, Julie Haire of Henderson; 4 grandchildren, Coleman Alan Hicks, Bella Rosemary Hicks, Zoe LeAnn Hicks and Deacon Coleman Hicks.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 29, 2021, 2:00 PM at Bellfield Baptist Church with Bro. Jerry Tooley officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 29, 2021, 11:00 – 2:00 at the church. Tomblinson Funeral Home, Henderson Chapel is entrusted with arrangements.
