He was chairman of the Moses Lake Planning Commission, active in the Chamber of Commerce and a retired manager of the Columbia Basin Federal Credit Union.
He was a kind and gentle man to all those he touched.
Dean was preceded in death by his beloved wife Peggy, as well as Maria Dokas Kastanis, mother of Pericles (Perry) and Panayiota (Patricia).
He dearly loved his brothers, and is survived by Jim and Terry, his four children, Perry (Susan), Patricia (Sonny), Rachel (Ghislain), and Ande (Yvonne), and his ten grandchildren Nicholas, Alexandra, Malea, Kaeli, Elena, Camille, Gabrielle, Juliette, Ladon and Gianna.
Dean will be laid to rest near family in Salt Lake City.
Dean will be missed by the Spokane Parish of the Greek Orthodox Church where he was an active member of the Parish Council. May his memory be eternal. There was a Trisagion Service on Friday, December 28 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, and funeral service Saturday, December 29th at at the Holy Trinity Cathedral of the Greek Orthodox Church.
