She was born September 14, 1955 in Dodge City, KS, the daughter of Donald and Betty Sipes Culver. In 1974, Connie graduated from Cimarron High School and later went to Beauty College. On March 25, 1983 she married Larry Simpson in Hutchinson. Connie worked for Hutchinson Regional Medical Center as an anesthesiology technician and retired after 26 years. She enjoyed working in the garden and doing yard work. Connie also loved spending time with her grandchildren and being grandma's taxi. She always looked forward to spending time with her family during the holidays and Christmas was her favorite holiday.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Connie is survived by her husband, Larry; daughter, Dawn Salazar; son, Brett Simpson; sisters, Linda Culver and Donna Preston; three grandchildren, Kaetlin, Isabela and Gabriel Salazar; and her two companions, her dog and cat, KC and Pepper.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be given to the Hospice of Reno County and can be sent in care of Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave., Hutchinson, KS 67502.
