Donna Lee Reeves Cox, 75, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2021, surrounded by her family. Born in Jennings on August 26, 1946, to Doyle and Leila Reeves, she received an undergraduate degree from Northwestern State University and an M.S. from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Donna chose to dedicate her life to being a devoted wife and mother. She loved fishing and the outdoors and could always be found tending to her yard, enjoying each flower's bloom. She also loved people and was never too busy to enjoy a conversation, especially conversations about food. Her favorite dish was pot-roasted ducks that her son would provide.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at 4:00 p.m. at Miguez Funeral Home in Jennings, LA. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Thursday and continue until the 4:00 p.m. service.
Those left to mourn her loss are her children Mark (Rachelle) Phenice of Welsh and Mia (Jason) Touchet of Lake Charles. Five grandchildren Hannah (Dylan) Breaux, Graceanne (Beau) Montou, Lindsay Orgeron, Zachary Phenice, John Aaron Orgeron, and two great-grandchildren, Ben and Carmen Breaux. She is also survived by her brother, Doyle (Wanda) Reeves of Conroe, TX, and the father of her children, Wayne (Bobbie Jo) Phenice of Welsh, LA.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
