Survived by wife of 9 years, Barbara Mae Sanders Black of Buford; children, Tommy (Gail) Martin of Homer, JoAnn (Philip) Smith of Gainesville, Cathy (Russell) Beard of Buford, Jenny (Royce) Millwood of Flowery Branch, Randy (Mattie) Martin of Cumming, and Pam (Kenneth) Cagle of Gainesville; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Betty Sue (Phil) Turner of SC, Patsy (Billy) Chambers of NC, Brenda Gail "BB" Black of SC, Janice (Lennon) Martin of Dahlonega, Sheila (John) Phillips of SC, Pam (Chuck) Lindsey of SC; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Born on 6-15-1947 in Dahlonega, GA, he graduated from Lumpkin County High School, was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, was a truck driver with Pilgrim's Pride Co., and was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church in Oakwood. .....
A funeral service will be held on Thursday in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Jerry McCormick. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Gainesville, GA with military honors.
