Mrs. Margaret Elizabeth Lewis 90 of Starke passed away Friday, December 24, 2021, at E.T. York Care Center in Gainesville. She was born April 13, 1931, in Hampton to Union David and Mary (Bloss) Dyal and graduated with the class of 1948 from Bradford High School. Mrs. Lewis worked many years in the Middle School Cafeteria and was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, knitting, sewing, gardening and was also known for her cake decorating skills. Her most cherished time was being with her family. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Elmer "Buddy" Lewis and siblings Jimmy Dyal and Juanita Greene. Mrs. Lewis is survived by her three daughters Kay Rosier (Lloyd) of St. Augustine, Catherine Lee of Starke, and Wanda Jackson (Mervin) of Gainesville. She was also lovingly called "Nana" by six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. A memorial service for Mrs. Lewis will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, December 30, 2021, in the First Baptist Church with Pastor Ken Weaver officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Haven Hospice 4200 NW 90th Blvd. Gainesville, FL 32606. Arrangements are under the care of JONES-GALLAGHER FUNERAL HOME
