Born in Kansas City, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Herman "Himie" Klugman and Evelyn Drye. She was a 1962 Graduate of Center High School. She worked at Western Electric / AT&T and later at Marion Laboratories. She loved to fish and spend time in the outdoors.
