Lucile adored caring for her family and was a devoted wife and mother. She loved flower gardening and could grow anything. Her love of nature extended to an avid interest in birds.
Lucile enjoyed sewing in all forms. She liked to embroider and crochet and make and collect dolls. Her daughter will always cherish the collection of dolls and doll clothes Lucile made.
Lucile was preceded in death by her first husband Alfred Houston Yocum; her second husband Glynn L. McCoy Jr.; an infant daughter Carmin Yocum; her parents, Lloyd and Gertrude Hardison; and all of her siblings, Letha, Harold, Katherine and Lloyd Jr.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, LaTrenda and Steve Deem of Broken Arrow, OK; two granddaughters, Stephanie Porterfield of Norman, OK and Julie Barhydt and husband, Tyler of Monument, CO; grandsons, Charles Deem and wife Jodi of Kansas City, MO and Jerry Deem of Tulsa, OK; great-grandchildren, Abby Barhydt, Audrey Barhydt, Madison Deem and Riley Deem; a number of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate a life well lived at her memorial service 10 am Friday, December 31, 2021 at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, OK. Mr. Bobby Long will officiate, and Lucile will be laid to rest with her husband, Glynn McCoy.
