Harold S. McClung age 83 of Big Springs, passed Saturday, December 25, 2021 at his home south of Big Springs.

He is survived by his wife Jeannette, 2 sons Gregory, Brent (Carol) McClung all of , Big Springs, Nebraska; 1 Daughter Debra McClung of Loveland, Co. 4 Grandsons, Mark (Lyndsay) , James (Shelby), John, and Daniel all of Big Springs. 3 Grand Daughters, Jessica (Kyle) Jacobs of Chapel, Keli (Thomas) Heath of Julesburg, Co. and Crystal McClung of Ogallala. A Brother in Law Donald Burge of Spokane, WA. He was preceded in death by parents, one sister Evelyn Burge Memorial contributions may be made to the Nebraska Children's Home or the Big Springs Fire Department. A private family service will be held at a later date.Harold Samuel McClung, age 83 adopted son of Samuel C. and Viola M. (Foster) McClung, was born on March 11, 1938. He passed away peacefully early December 25, 2021, surrounded by his loved ones, to celebrate his first Christmas in heaven.

He attended school in Big Springs, graduating from there in 1955. He attended college at the University of Nebraska and Milford before returning to the family farm.

He married the love of his life, Jeannette C. Armstrong, on May 3, 1958, in the Big Springs United Methodist Church, where he was a lifelong member. Children Debra, Gregory, and Brent soon joined the family.

Harold learned to fly in his younger years, and, in 1980, established McClung Aerial Spraying with his sons. He was proud to have his grandchildren join the operation, making this a 3-generation business.

Harold is survived by his wife, Jeannette, of 63 years; children Debra, Gregory, and Brent (Carol) McClung; granddaughters Jessica (Kyle) Jacobs, Keli (Tom) Heath, and Crystal McClung; grandsons Mark (Lyndsay), James (Shelby), John, and Daniel McClung; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by parents, one sister Evelyn Burge
