Mr. Gary Charles "Chuck" Turpin, 72, of Forest Hill Dr., Denton, NC passed away on Thursday, Dec. 23, 2021, at his residence.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, Dec. 30, 2021, at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel conducted by Rev. Eddie Hill. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Other times they will be at the home of daughter, Amber Reed on Fritts Rd., Thomasville.
Mr. Turpin was born in Randolph County on November 21, 1949, to Paul James Turpin and Hazel Hunt Turpin. He was of the Baptist Faith and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He later went on to retire from PP&G as a supervisor. Chuck loved his entire family but especially his grandchildren and he was very involved in their lives.
In addition to his parents Chuck was preceded in death by his son, Benjamin Todd Turpin and Gary Christopher Turpin.
He is survived by his wife, Cathy Ellison Turpin of the home; daughter, Amber Reed (Cory) of Thomasville; brothers, Jimmy and Ronnie Turpin both of Goldsboro, David Turpin of Denton, and Ricky Turpin of Randleman; sister, Paula Vuncannon of Asheboro; 5 grandchildren, Jacob, Caroline, and Cooper Reed, Christopher and Aubri Turpin.
